Academic and Research


Along with his full-time professional consultant career, Edward has strong research interests in corporate strategy, technology transformation and operations improvement. When time permits, Edward took up invitation to teach part-time at local universities and higher education institutions. Edward was a part-time lecturer with Monash University KL campus (previously Sunway College), teaching supply and purchasing management subjects.

Edward's doctorate research with Australia School of Enterpreneurship at Swinburne University of Technology covers the realm of strategic alignment between business and IT. The research thesis 'Modelling and measuring relationships between IT-business strategic alignment and performance outcomes' has been awarded Swinburne Research Ahievement Award in 2004.


Besides IT-business strategy, Edward has conducted masters research in production efficiency improvement jointly with Warwick Manufacturing Group, University of Warwick and Nefab Packaging UK Ltd at its Northampton factory.


Edward undergraduate reseach area covered quality management practices in foundry industry. The study was done as multi-month industrial placemet with Yoonsteel Industries at Ipoh, Malaysia together with Tunku Abdul Rahman Univeristy College.
